Cavite Provincial Governor's Message November 16, 2012
Juanito Victor C. Remulla Jr.
Warmest greetings of peace and prosperity! As glorious as its history, and as vibrant as its God-centered and environment-friendly people, the Province of Cavite continues to flourish as one of the best provinces in the country.
More than a historic province, Cavite stands as a pioneer in excellent local development initiatives anchored on good governance and total human development. Our effort in creating a transparent and productive local government was recognized when the DILG conferred Cavite as the Gawad Pamana ng Lahi Regional Winner in 2011, not to mention being named as one of the top 10 high performing provinces in the Philippines.
The Provincial Government of Cavite is the first Provincial Government to be ISO 9001:2008 certified. This is a testament to our steadfast commitment to ensure the delivery of prompt, effective and efficient public service to our people, in line with our vision of becoming a first class and a world class province. It is my earnest desire that through this link in the world wide web, our constituents will be more informed of the various development projects and programs of our Provincial Government. This website likewise aims to foster transparency and accountability as we formulate socio-economic reforms.
I enjoin everyone to be part of our vision of making “Cavite: First Class, World Class.”
JUANITO VICTOR C. REMULLA, JR.

In Memory of Neth at 50
Nenita V. Mendoza
Release Sent: Monday, 9 July 2012, 15:15 By: Graham C. Lim
In Memory of Neth at 50……
In Memory of our dear Nenita Varron Mendoza, who passed away last July 8, 2012, here’s a short story about the long-time secretary of the Basketball Association of the Philippines and Federation of School Sports Association of the Philippines from Graham C. Lim.
Simply known as Neth to everyone, she died following a lingering illness. She is survived by her husband Nelson and sons Neil Kenneth, Nelson Jr and Nickson Mendoza.
Neth had worked as the Executive Secretary of the Basketball Association of the Philippines (BAP) since 1996 and also held the same position with the Federation of School Sports Association of the Philippines (FESSAP) starting in 2005.
Up to her last breath, I was in constant communication with Neth through her eldest son Kenneth for all the medical needs of his mom.
I have requested all our colleagues and members in the FESSAP and BAP, including BAP President Senator Antonio F. Trillanes IV and FESSAP President David Ong, to pray for the repose of her soul and provide moral support to her family.
Neth’s eldest son is presently working part-time but will soon work for us in a certain capacity.
Neth left three male children. The second, Nelson Jr., is a first-year college student and plays for the varsity team of the Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) in the on-going NCAA basketball tournament.
The youngest, Nickson, is still in the high school and is a scholar of the BAP-FESSAP.
Neth had been one of the stabilizing force in the BAP even when the controversy with the Philippine Olympic Committee, SBP and FIBA erupted in 2001. As the Executive Secretary, she was a strong-willed, hardworking lady who dealt with all the communication aspects involving the BAP and FESSAP here and abroad.
I will always remember Neth as a person who lived a life of simplicity. I have stood through many storms in the past regarding the BAP and FESSAP but it was Neth who was there to make the business is as usual with the two sports organizations.
Neth was the one who shielded me from potential danger with the various harassments and threats to my life through the past few decades, withholding or providing information that would assure my personal safety. For that, I am indebted to her.
My association with Neth actually goes way, way back during my PICAA days before I became an official of the BAP.
May the Lord guide Neth to eternal life, bless her with eternal peace.
I will always remember as a comrade who was called by the Almighty to watch over us in this world of uncertainty and restlessness.
Goodbye my Comrade!
Neth's body currently lies in state at her home with interment will be at Bahayang Pagasa, Woodsite 3, Escaler Street, Block 14 Lot 7, Imus, Cavite at a still undetermined date.
Note: Ms. Nenita Mendoza was the Executive Secretary of the Cavite Athletic Association of the Philippines (CAAP) as Founding Members in 2011.
